Roopkund (locally known as Mystery Lake) is a high altitude glacial lake in the Uttarakhand state of India. It lies in the lap of Trishul massif and is famous for the hundreds of human skeletons found at the edge of the lake. The area is uninhabited, located in the Himalayas at an altitude of 5,029 metres (16,499 feet).Surrounded by rock-strewn glaciers and snow-clad mountains, the lake is a popular trekking destination.

Kuari Pass Trek

Saptkund Lake Trek

Sapt kund (literally meaning seven lakes) is a group of mysterious lakes nestled in the foothills of gigantic Nanda ghunti peak. The lakes are located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 5000 meters. The trek to the lakes is an arduous one, but amassing with flora & fauna, pristine landscapes and unpredictable Himalayan weather.

Badrinath Trek

The high altitude trekking route from Gangotri - Badrinath, via Kalindikhal is popularly known as Kalindikhal Pass Trek. The trip is more adventurous and requires some fundamental knowledge of mountaineering. The trek starts from Gangotri heading eastward, via Gomukh, Tapovan, Nandanvan, Vasuki Tal, Kalindikhal, Gashtoli and then onwards to Badrinath The speciality of this trek is that it takes one half way round Garhwal, starting from the Bhagirathi Valley, all the way to the Alaknanda Valley. The trip is advised only for those who have a prior experience of high altitude treks ; and its very mention gives a thrill to even the most seasoned of climbers.

Valley of Flowers Trek

The most beautiful of all Himalayan flowers, the blue Primula can be seen blooming in thousands in the valley. The best time to see the valley in full bloom is from mid July to mid August.To reach the valley one has to trek from Govind Ghat, on the route to Hemkund Sahib, upto Ghangaria, 12 kms ahead.Few furlongs ahead of Ghangaria the trek route to the valley takes a detour towards left.
The valley is about 5 kms from Ghangaria. The high altitude serine lake, known as Hemkund ( 4329 mts.) lies in heavenly environs. A steep trek from Ghangharia leads one to this spot in about four to six hours.

Mussoorie Trek

Mussoorie (Garhwali/Hindi: Masūrī) is a hill station and a municipal board in the Dehradun District of the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is located about 35 km from the state capital of Dehradun. This hill station, situated in the foothills of the Garhwal Himalayan ranges, is also known as the Queen of the Hills. The adjoining town of Landour, which includes a military cantonment, is considered part of 'greater Mussoorie', as are the townships of Barlowganj and Jharipani.
Being at an average altitude of 1,880 metres (6,170 ft), Mussoorie, with its green hills and varied flora and fauna, is a fascinating hill resort.
